A Day Trip to Mount Fuji – Arakurayama Sengen Park

Visiting Mount Fuji is a dream for many travelers, and I had the chance to experience it through a trip to Arakurayama Sengen Park. The journey itself was long, but filled with anticipation as the train ride offered stunning glimpses of Mount Fuji along the way. Luckily, the weather was clear, making the iconic mountain look even more breathtaking.

Here’s the full vlog, make sure to watch it! https://youtu.be/sKtNcUnAmLA?si=7ZeqWPcuJ5Nil9tt

The Climb to the Park

Reaching the famous pagoda viewpoint at Arakurayama involves climbing hundreds of stairs. It’s not the easiest part of the trip, but every step brings you closer to an unforgettable view. Once at the top, the sight of Mount Fuji framed by the Chureito Pagoda made the effort completely worth it. It’s one of those moments that feels straight out of a postcard.

We didn’t reach to the top but the view was amazing

The Challenges

Like many popular spots in Japan, the area around the park can get crowded, especially at restaurants. Some places were closed or had long waiting lists, which made finding a meal a bit tricky. Still, this is part of the adventure of traveling, adjusting and making the most of the moment.

Food we bought at a local restaurant, the tempura was delicious, we didn’t like the eel, accidentally we ordered cold soba lol but it was also delicious

There was a perfect spot for taking pictures of Mount Fuji in front of the restaurant, the best part was not having crowds, the restaurant is called Nikonan

Food Highlights

Before heading home, I stopped for takoyaki, one of Japan’s most beloved street foods. Warm, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, it was the perfect way to end the day. Food always adds a special layer to any trip, and this was no exception.

This was our first takoyaki here, it was so good!!

Final Thoughts

This day trip to Mount Fuji was filled with a mix of challenges and rewards. From the long journey and crowded spots to the stunning clear-day views and delicious food, it was an experience I’ll always remember. If you’re planning a visit, make sure to check the weather in advance and prepare for the climb, the view at the top is truly unforgettable.

Thank you so much for being here and for supporting my creative journey.

see you
